Got wisdom teeth removed 2 weeks ago, holes left over are black?!

Question: the places where the teeth were removed, where the dissolvable stitiches were, when you look inside them they are black, all of them are, is this normal?

yes it's normal, and don't wash it out unless your dentist told you to, because it most likely is a blood plug which will heal and keep you from getting a 'dry socket' which is painful. In a few weeks it will heal. The hole gets smaller and smaller over the next year.

That might only be dried blood.

Call your dental surgeon.

did your surgeon give you a squirter to clean out the holes? if so, I would try that. (might be food, debris, blod, etc.) if not, gargle with warm salt water- that might help loosen up something stuck. it might be blood- no biggie.

I had four impacted wisdom teeth removed doc told me to rinse w warm salt water after every meal for a week It worked
