How much longer can I put off seeing the Dentist?!
Question:
How much longer can I put off seeing the Dentist?
i have a rather large cavity in one of my wisdom teeth. the pain, which is controlled by ibuprofen, is sometimes so intense that i can feel my eardrum throbbing... i don't chew on the right side of my mouth and i absolutely can't have sweets (just the sugar in my saliva causes searing pain). Anyway, point is i can't afford to see a dentist right now.. how much longer can i last like this??
Answers:
A severe cavity will lead to further decay of the tooth and a possible infection. Your best bet is to see your regular dentist as soon as possible to prevent this problem from becoming much worse. Continue with Motrin and try using a cold compress to help ease the pain, never use hot as this can cause an infection to worsen and spread.
