Wisdom teeth pain ... what to do ?!
Question: Can anyone give me some advice on what to put on my gums where my wisdom tooth is impacted. It is so sore and I will be getting them pulled, but not for another 3 weeks. I have an impacted wisdom tooth , is there anything I can put on my gum there to ease the pain besides origel ?

Oh man I'm soo sorry to hear that. I know exactly how that feels, I have had atleast 8 teeth pulled all together in the last year, some of them were my wisdom teeth. I had the same problem and they couldn't get me in for a month as well. I found putting ice on my cheek right next to the tooth helped a lot, atleast temporarily. It was the only thing I could do to ease the pain for awhile, and I know orajel doesn't really work at all. Try taking some aspirin too. Hang in there, it's going to be a rough few weeks, try to see if there is a short call in list or another dentist who can get you in sooner.
Both of my bottom widom teeth were impacted and all I could do to ease the pain was take Motrin 800. Maybe you can ask your dentist to prescribe some until your surgery date. Good luck and make you you dont get an infection after. That really sucked :(
for gum pain you can take Advil or Tylenol pills and if that doesn't work then you can put cotton balls where your wisdom tooth is so don't worry because your gonna get it pulled out soon.
The answer is: Cloves. You know, the spice that's found in things like pumpkin pie and spiced tea.
Buy a container of whole cloves off the grocery shelf.
Put one in the back of your mouth on the side that's sore and suck on it. It will help deaden the pain (and give you fresh breath). I'm not joking. Or, if you can get oil of cloves, rub a bit on your painful gum.
