What is this ball on inside of my chin? bad tooth on bottom had root canal?!

Question: one of front teeth on bottom had a root canal about 7years or more ago.
You can see it from the outside, but when you feel it, it feels like a big ball and it sends a shot of feeling to my tooth. The harder it is bumped, the harder it hurts, but I dont know what it is. sometimes its worse than others, but anytime its bumped i feel lots of pain and pressure. does anyone have a clue what this is????

That could be a number of things. I would suggest seeing a dentist just for an emergency diagnostic exam. This could be the root canal failing and the abscess returning. If this is the case, you can either have the root canal redone, or you can have the tooth pulled.
It could also be a cancerous lesion. In this case, you would probably be referred to a specialist by your dentist.
You could also have an apthous ulcer which hurts quite a bit and is generally a white sore.
You could also have a swollen salivary gland and require oral surgery to remove it.

Bascially, my advice would be to see a dentist for an exam. They can point you in the right direction for you health.
