PLEASE HELP... thanx?!


Question: my tooth is a little sensitive. there is no cavity and my braces arent on that tooth. could this be because its just it? i think i have had a day or 2 when a tooth is sensitive then it stops. has it happened to you? it kinda hurts a little when i bite down hard or in a certain direction. please help

The tooth could be hypersensitive. What the means is when a top tooth and a bottom tooth are hitting a lot quicker and harder than your other teeth. Our there could be a possibility that you have a cracked tooth.

yeppers. actually that happends quite often with braces. I dont know what you mean when you say the braces arent on that tooth but.....even so, the other teeth could be shifting it or your bite could be shifting. Trust me, i dont know how many times that happened to me and it wasnt a cavity. its normal. The pressure of braces causes that kind of pain. Relax and dont worry too much.

it is probably because the other teeth with braces on them are moving the sensitive one (making it sensitive)

I think this happened to me once. It goes away eventually.
