Retainer question???please help!!!?!
Question: even though i won't have my braces off for another 1 1/2 years, when i get my retainer can i choose if i get a clear retainer like a whitening tray or will they just choose for me. i really want a clear tray(s) because i don't want the metal wire across my teeth!! please help i really want a clear tray!!??

calm down.....Most retainers are mad of clear acrylic with a little metal for stability. but you never see it. Some are all acrylic....just explain to the dentist.. make him hear you. If he doesn't seem concerned.....tell his assistant.....she'll listen!
lol its along time away but, it really depends on your orthodontist because he might choose one over the other but you should be able to choose that one if you like
you can choose whatever you want. just tell your orthodontist, hell do whatever you want. theres no matter of being scared of your dentist.
