What does a sealing feel like?!

Question: I got a cavity and need to get a sealing.

What does it feel like?

Answers: I got a cavity and need to get a sealing.

What does it feel like?

A sealant or a filling? A sealant feels like they are painting your teeth. They paint on a clear coating with a small brush and then shine a bright blue light on it until it sets. No pain at all. A filling feels like a pinch when you get a small injection to numb the tooth. They inject into the cheek or the gum near the tooth. Then the area should be numb so you shouldn't feel anything else. Your cheek and lips feel odd, kind of fat and puffy, but no pain because they are numb. If you feel any discomfort tell your dentist right away and they will numb you up better. It's no big deal. You'll be fine. I wouldn't lie, I am terrified of dentists. But, fillings are not bad. Good luck.

you mean a filling?

They numb you so you don't feel anything.

Also its a filling. And on my teeth they put on sealants to prevent cavities.

Like you've got gunk in your teeth. But then again the cr@p school dentist did mine and they started falling out in chunks. So I had to go to a proper dentist and get them done again and they just paint a clear plastic glue over your teeth and if you can feel it - ask if they can file it down for you.

If they are done properly you shouldn't be able to feel them at all.

But then again I thought you got a filling if you had a cavity. Sealants are only to prevent cavities.
