In my experience with patients (retired dental hygienist), Sensodyne works very well for sensitivity....but sometimes have to give it up to 3 months to work properly. Don't give up after 2 weeks...it takes a while to build up the sensitivity protection and it varies from patient to patient. Whitening agents had a tendency to make teeth more sensitive. So adding a whitening agent to a sensitivity toothpaste might be defeating the purpose. If you're looking for a toothpaste for whitening, there are many good ones on the market.....if you're looking for sensitivity protection, Sensodyne is one of the best. The "original pink" sensodyne has an old formula that didn't work as well as the new Sensodynes. Don't go for the pink one.

I don't know about the whitening, but it sure helps sensitive teeth! I would recommend it if you have trouble with drinking or eating things that are cold or sweet.
