Ouch, my tooth is killing me?!
Question: all of the sudden like with in the last couple of hours, my bottom front tooth is really painful. I can run my tounge over itand it just feels funny, but I cant touch it with my finger, cause it just hurts too bad. I cant see anything funny when I look in the mirror. i guess I will have to make an appointment in the morning, but I guess my question was, does a cavity just start to hurt suddenly??? seems strange, but I am 33 and i have never had a problem with my teeth, ever, and have never even had a sore tooth, so I am king of freaking out.

your tooth may have a crack or even an abscess
an appointment is definitely the answer
if there is no sign of decay it sounds like an absyss. Rub your gum with salt and rinse your mouth with warm salty water often till you get to the dentist if it is an absyss they usually give antibiotics.
