How long do I have to wait playing the saxaphone after having wisdom teeth extra!

Question: I am getting all four of my wisdom teeth extracted and was wondering how long I should wait before playing saxophone in order to avoid getting a dry clot. Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks

The most possible things that can happen are:

1: bleeding
2: breaking the membrane that seals the sinus

Explanation:
1: playing saxophone, spitting, drinking through a straw will create a pressure in your mouth that will make it more dificult for a clot to form, thus it will bleed. for this you should wait about 3-4 days before starting back

2: the upper teeth's root can be really close to the sinus and the extraction would expose its membrane in the mouth. If that happen, creating a pressure in your mouth can perforate the membrane.. in this situation, you would also have to wait before starting to play and it would be very important as else there would be a orosinusal communication, requiring an other surgery... Your dentist can tell you if the sinus is exposed or not after the surgery.

If you're referring to a "dry socket" that can happen after extractions, they generally occur within about 72 hours after the extractions. You'll probably have some swelling and soreness, so you most likely won't be playing the sax for several days. Why not ask your dentist this question. He can give you the best answer to this.

I'd say half a week. For Giant Steps a whole week.
When I had mind out I got food stuck in the holes and they wouldn't close. Then I got my parents Water Pik put some warm salty water in it and used it to clean them out, and they healed within a couple days!
Plus, a beer works much better than the pain pills they give you.
