Answers: Please help! This tooth is killing me!

A pharmacist told me that you can take an aspirin type of product with an acetaminophen type of product. So you could take aspirin/ibuprofen/naproxen with tylenol at the same time, just don't do 2 aspirin products together. The reason is that the aspirin type of products are excreted through the kidneys and the tylenol is excreted through the liver....and the aspirin works on pain and inflammation at the site of the pain and the tylenol works on pain where it is sensed in the brain.

Also you could try heat or cold packs, but even that doesn't work after awhile.

Don't take more aspirin or tylenol than it says on the bottle for a daily limit.

Call your dentist and see if they can make a payment plan or call the public health department and see if they have a dental clinic or the nearest university dental clinic.

Go to the Pharmacy and ask for Anbesol it is an oral anesthetic. If you don't have cotton swabs to apply it buy some of them also.

Go to the pharmacy and get some anbasol. I have also put a quarter 1/4 th of an asprine (not tylenol) directly on my tooth adlet it desolve before and that helped. Ice pack around the OUTSIDE area of the jaw where the tooth is

Just because pain relievers are available without a prescription does not mean you can eat them like candy. You can cause considerable damage to your liver, stomach, bowels, heart... Do not self-medicate!!!

What is stopping you from seeing your dentist?

Whatever homecare remedy you use, even if it works, is only a temporary fix. Dental pain should NOT be ignored. It can lead to EXTREMELY serious problems, yes, including death! An abscess in an upper tooth can progress through the sinus wall. Without the rapid introduction of intravenous antibiotics you would be in a morgue in short order!

clove oil.

The Anbesol works real well but only for a very short time.

My Dentist was out of town so I went to a Big Department Store that had the Dentist Office in it.

This Dentist took x-rays and all that kind of stuff. I had absess in two front bottom teeth. He wanted to pull them right away and put Partial Dentures in.

He could give me a really good deal on them but that was a 'Today Special Only'. He knew that I had a high dollar amount credit card (when I did the paperwork before I saw him). They cost close to $2,500.00

I took a pass but he did give me a strong painkiller prescription before I left.

My Regular Dentist was due back in a few days so I tried to wait it out. I did go to the hospital and they gave me a numbing injection right into my gums. This was a last resort because I hate Hospitals and needles.

The shots and painkillers helped me hang on.

When I did see my own Dentist. He cleaned my teeth real good and gave me some antibiotics and a few more painkillers.

The pain was caused by tarter buildup on the inside of my front teeth. That was 20 years ago and I still have all my teeth and no cavities. I have been very lucky.

Try cleaning your teeth real good and use mouthwash as it contains alcohol that helps. If you can do it, get a shotglass of whiskey and swish it inside your mouth (close to the tooth). You may want to warm the whiskey just a little so not to hurt your tooth anymore then it already is.

Whiskey was used years ago so it must have some kind of a benifit to it!

DO NOT MIX ALCOHOL WITH ANYTHING! CHECK WITH PHARMACY FOR INTERACTIONS. EVEN WHISKEY AND THE AMBESOL / EXCEDRIN COULD BE DEADLY!

You're still gonna have to see the dentist. Sorry but that's life, I wish you luck....

sleep and you won't feel anything
