I am getting BRACES! HELP!?!
Question: Ok, first of all.. I need to get this clear..will I have headgear!? I have a class II overbite and crowding (already fixed). I need to get rubber bands as well.
Also, I get my braces in 9 days, and I chose to get color braces. I have been looking online and saw that people said go for your gut feeling. I have no gut feeling (except butterflies). Suggestions for colors? I was thinking BLUE/GOLD (yellow) but I heard yellow makes your teeth look bad? Help please?!

GEEZE!! Relax girl!! You probably won't get headgear!! To tell you the truth, I've only seen ONE person with headgear at my orthodontist. And I had really bad teeth, and I didn't get headgear. If you have overcrowding, you might get an expander, to make your mouth wider. Rubber bands don't hurt at all! Just a tad sore the first day, but after wearing them every day and every night, you get used to them. Sometimes I would forget I had them in and I'd eat with them, then they'd snap in my mouth. haha. Sometimes I'd go to sleep with them in, and wake up with them gone! =O And for colors, just go with what YOU want. I haven't used many different colors, but most of them are fine, they just fade after a while. One time I got hot pink, and then it was just a light pink by my next appointment. You'll know when you get there of what colors to get. And if you like butterflies, try getting blue and black, or light blue and black, or a combination of the three! I would tell you to get the colors of a monarch butterfly, but then it would look like Halloween. Haha

well i'm pretty sure you won't have headgear it hurts when you first get them but with the color get whatever you want just know people are gonna see those colors every time you smile or talk
get pink and black. Pink brings out the color in your cheeks when you smile and black contrasts against your white teeth and makes them look whiter!
i had braces a few years ago.
you WON'T have headgear.
they don't even use that very much anymore.
uhm, i wouldn't get yellow cause it down make your teeth look kind of yellow.
maybe, blue.
or just white or clear.
or your favorite color(s)?
i always went for pink and green.
but its all up to you.
rubberbands, those don't hurt.
you just hook them from your top braces to the bottom, it will feel a little tight but you get used to it and you don't even realize they are there.
i wouldn't eat with them in though, cause they could break in your mouth and that feels like you just bit your cheek or something, it doesn't really hurt.

get ur town/city/school colors and show some pride!!! i think u might have headgear depending on the severity of ur teeth (no offense) and i think u only have 2 wear it at night.
any color is fine except for green, yellow, orange, and white because it looks like you have either food or plaque stuck in your teeth.
Hey! I get braces tomorrow and soooo excited! Well your orthodontist should of discussed if you get headgear so I can't tell you that one! Sorry! I am getting teal and light pink! I heard the same thing about yellow! Don't be nervous!

WELL I GOT BLUE. I GOT BLUE BECAUSE ITS MY BOYFRIENDS FAVORITE COLOR.IF U DONT HAVE A BOY FRIEND THEN GET YOUR CRUSHES FAVORITE COLOR.BUT ANY WAY I KNOW THAT U WONT GET HEAD GEAR. I ASKED MY ORTHO AND HE SAID ORTHOS AND DENTIST STOPED USING THEM IN 1999. BUT IF THEY GIVE YOU HEAD GEAR THEN YOU ONLY HAVE TO WERE IT AT NIGHT. BUT ANY WAY GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS
Headgear: Only the orthodontist knows for sure.
Try light blue.

you won't need a headgear. you should go with blue, green,red,teal,and pink. *teal and pink look good together.* you can go to this URL http://www.olympicorthodontics.com/paint... to choose your fav colors. if your ortho said something about expanders then you might get one or get fitted for one. to be sure you can call your ortho to make sure.
