Can a cavity cause a fever?!

Question: I have never had a cavity before. Well, I just haven't gotten around to going to the dentist in over a year and now I think I have one. I feel localized pain constantly for about 2 weeks now. Can this be causing my fever? I have a dentist appointment Jan. 3

If it's infected! Take a fever reducer and if it gets worse you may need to see a dentist sooner, and be put on an antibiotic. It can be dangerous if the bacteria gets into your blood stream and then into your brain --> throwing up, a really bad head ache

Yes. If it's infected.

yes, it's highly possible. take some pain reliever, although you probably have been. it'll also reduce the fever, and if it's not caused by the cavity you may just have a cold.
it's nothing to worry about.

If the tooth is infected it can cause a fever......it could also be abscessed..get going, head to the dentist......

Thats probably it, something got infected.
