Go with the corn shuckins only WAIT until I have finished using them in the outhouse.

Ha! I got a strand of celery stuck in my teeth at Christmas dinner yesterday, and it was remarkably similar to dental floss.

I hate flossing, honestly the only time i floss is right before my dentist appointments or orthodontist appointments.

You'd be better off using horse hair from the mane. It's rewashable so it's eco freindly too. Why do you need to floss when you only have 5 teeth? Are they all in a row?

There are different things you can use to floss your teeth depending the spacing of your teeth. I would not recommend a corn shuckin, because it can retain moisture, and then harbor bacteria.

If your teeth are in close contact, they are touching each other, than you should only use floss. But, there are different types of floss you can buy. Also, the reason you are cutting your gums is because you are flossing improperly! Here is the proper techinque for flossing:

1. Tear off an arms length of floss
2. Wrap the floss around your middle or ring finger
3. Postioning:
a. Enter the floss at an ANGLE
b. See-saw to get between your teeth
c. Go to the base of your sulcus "gums" or until you use resistance
d. Curve the floss around the tooth making a "C" shape
e. Shimmy up the tooth surface

If you don't enter the floss in at an angle, you could cut your gums.

If you have large spaces between some of your teeth you can use the following:

interdental brushes, gauze strips, Knitting yarn (synthetic), round toothpicks- use with caution, because it is common to use these improperly resulting in permanent damage of your gums, interdental wedges-triangular, same precautions as tooth picks.

Hope this helps
