Is it possible to get dry socket?!

Question: I had 4 wisdom teeth removed 5 days ago, and today I ate a lot of food regularly and even drank with a straw. The dissolvable stitches became loose on the upper left side of my mouth. I got a bit of pain for a moment and a very slight numbness. Is it possible to get dry socket now or has it been too long into the healing process to worry about?

i think you can only get dry socket if the scab in your lil gum-hole comes off. i got 4 of them cut out of my jaw in june, and the next day, even though my mouth hurt, i ate pizza. bad move lol. all in all, just dont pull on the stitches. one, it hurts. two, it could probably come out nd youd get dry socket. just take 2 of your hydros and youll be fiiine. X}
