Abcess tooth?!
Question: I have an abcess in my tooth, and it's really deep.
I had just taken out the temporary filling and my abcess
has been exposed now, it hurts really bad and my dentist appointment is on thursday. My question is .. are there any home remedies to ease the pain for now until my app? I had just taken excedrin and I use orajel, I cannot take this pain much longer and my mom wont bring me in for an emergency. so I have no clue what to do, I don't want to be in pain during x-mas either.

first of all, do not place a clove in your tooth...that's just silly!
at walmart, there is some temporary filling material (in the dental supplies aisle). place this into the cavity (hole) in the tooth. this should help with the discomfort. if you are able to take ibuprofen, please do, take 400mg ibuprofen and two tylenol. this is what we use in our dental clinic.

take a whole clove and break off the little sharp points then place the clove in your mouth on the abcess. Not only will this relieve the pain, it will also help the abcess heal. If you don't have whle cloves ask your mom to get some for you. If you have ground clove you can use it, but it doesn't work as well.
Clove is found in the baking isle of your local grocery store. It is what is used when you bake a ham.
follow the dentist's instructions and take all of your meds exactly as prescribed. this way you won't end up in the hospital with IV meds. if your mother isn't more helpful, call 911 or have someone take you to the ER.
