Does Tylenol work well for Toothaches?!

Question: I'm just wondering if Regular Strength Tylenol (325mg) is good for moderate toothaches after dental surgery?

Okay thanks.

I agree that ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Nuprin) generally work better for dental pain. For patients looking to avoid narcotics with OTC medications, the strongest we go is up to 600 mg of ibuprofen, alternating 3 hrs. later with 650 mg. of acetaminophen (Tylenol). If that doesn't do it, you should speak to your surgeon about the best medications for you.

I find Advil a more effective painkiller.

I do better with Excedrin.

It might. If you have a prescription, consider that over the counter stuff isn't enough.

Advil or Vicadin works better...

it should work decent

For dental discomfort we prefer you take an Ibuprofen such as Advil or Motrin, both of which helps to reduce swelling, which is the major cause of dental pain.

why dont you try oragel? It helps toothache pain.
