Question:
Do I have a cavity in my teeth? I can't tell.?
Hello, all.
Before you automatically answer, "go to the dentist" - I have an appointment lined up (regular check-up and cleaning). However, I'm a bit worried, because I notice in the back of my mouth, on one of the further back teeth, there's this black dot on the side. However, I think I had it for a while now, and some people said that's just the normal formation of your teeth, so I'm not sure. Other than that, I'm fine - no toothaches, no certain sensitivities, and so on. Just some white-not-100%-straight-but-pr...

Spots on teeth can be normal. You can't have a cavity for a long time and feel nothing. If you had this for a while now, it is probably not a cavity. Sometimes you get a cavity and do not see it, you just feel it after a while which is just the opposite. I would not worry if I were you. Just wait for your appointment & hopefully the Doctor will tell you it's nothing.
