Stick to nature. Whole fruits and veggies, lean sources of protein (chicken/turkey breast, fish, eggs/eggwhites) and limited amounts of whole grains and fats. A serving of meat should be the size of a deck of cards. Veggies and fruits should be present at every meal for filling fibre and all the nutrients you need. A handful of nuts is plenty for a snack.
Avoid all white carbs/sugars as these are easily desposited as fat.
And of course, exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. It's really quite simple: Burn more calories than you consume and you will lose weight.
