My back hurts really bad after 6 mile run?!
Question: My back hurts really bad after 6 mile run?
I mean I haven't ran in two weeks, but I had my running shoes on, & I drank water, etc.
I've never had this problem before, is it because it was so much running/hiking.
Any ways to relieve the pain, thanks guys :) !

First of all, to relieve the pain: take a hot shower, it will relax your muscles. do some light stretching exercises and then lay down on your back on a firm mattress, without pillows. you can use a warm compress under your back too. you amy be in pain for a number of reasons like: 1. You didn't do a round of full body stretches before running and/or after to reduce musle cramp. 2. if you haven't run for 2 weeks, i'd start with a smaller run then 6 miles!! you've gotta build up to it. 3. Your running shoes are bad or damaged (bad shoes cause backpain) 4. You pulled a muscle with a wrong move - go so a doctor. Either way, slow down the next few days and take care of that bad back. Feel good!
