Is eating eggs every day unhealthy?!

Question: Is eating eggs every day unhealthy?
I'm an 18 year old guy, mid distance runner for my track team, and lift every other day as well. So I am definitely in great shape..I tend to eat a lot of eggs for the protein, and have realized that I am at the same time taking in a lot of cholesterol too. I usually eat about 4-6 eggs in one sitting, and will eat them about every other day (sometimes consecutive days)..is this harmful for my health? Thanks.

no not at all.. the notion that eggs give u cholestrol was from the 1980`s and still sometimes carries on to today...

eggs are full of vitamins.... omega 3 and b vitamins.. and proteins.....
only 70 calories each egg...

i have 2 daily with 3-5 egg whites.. and im lean

you would get more cholestrol from eating too much sugar...
more vitamins are in the yolk

I think eggs are very healthy. I would suggest that you eat Omega 3 Eggs, and also take an Omega 3 supplement. You might use 2 Whites replacing 1 whole egg. It probably depends on your other eating habits. Have your cholesterol tested but be sure to distinguish good from bad cholesterol. Eggs are an excellent source of protein and a power food! Get in the habit of cooking some oatmeal to eat with those eggs, oatmeal emoves cholesterol and is also a healthy food choice. Keep up the good work, to be 18 and already concerned about your nutritional needs and working on fitness- you are wise beyond your years!

The protein is great from it, but not so much the cholesterol. Usually you shouldn't have eggs more than 3 times a week, but since you are consuming so many each time you do eat them, try eating just the egg white, which would be much more healthy for you.

Nope extremely healthy for you. eat the WHOLE egg all te benefits are in the yolk. that contains all the healthy fatty acids and eggs actually lower bad and raie good cholesterol in the body.

Do you avoid onions and garlic? if not, then have your numbers checked if you worry much on this. If you avoid the onions and garlic, rush to get them checked.

Life.

One egg a day is okay if you aren't eating other high cholesterol foods such as meat and cheese. Try using only one yolk and the rest just egg whites. That way you'll get all the protien but limited cholesterol.

No you are fine because you work off the cholesterol so its totally healthy. Eggs are fat burns so eating them will help you in the long run and they are a great source of protein.

4-6 is probably too many due to the cholesterol. 1-2 is okay though.

Probably not, given your activity. But check with the school dietitian or your doctor, if you like.

Yes they have a lot of cholesterol! I hope you do exercise very good and have more variety

Maybe 3-5 a week. But I understand you I also really love eggs.
