Is this dieting right or not for me?!


Question: Is this dieting right or not for me!?
I'ma 12 year old girl that weighs 42 kg (6 stones) and is 5 ft 4 in height!. I have typed all this information in a few body mass index websites and they all say I'm underweight!. I agree but not that much because when I look in the mirror and see myself in my bra and underwear, I can see my ribs sticking out only a bit but not that much and also my arms are like matchsticks but when I see my legs they are too big and I don't like them!. I want my legs to be just like my arms only witha bit more flesh in!. Now, I'm not anorexic or anything like that at all - its just the way I am and how much I eat but also I go to sportscity centre in Manchester and do some running and in my house I have three machines that help me grow muscles in my legs!. I know for an athlete you have to be strong and fit but also the athletes who run 5000, 10,000 metres races are really skinny so it's not bad at all if I'm thin!.
I started dieting yesterday by not eating the lunch in the afternoon but eating breakfast and dinner!. Is this good idea!? Will I lose weight!?
And today, I ate 5 dates for lunch and my Mum has just gave me a banana, if I eat this will I gain weight!?
Guys and Gals, I just want your opinions ad a little bit advice and tips!. Do not be nasty or mean to me just because I'm 12!.

Athletes become skinny by exercising!. They are at a healthy weight first!. Gain a stone or 7kg, then start exercising well!. Oh and just so you know guys hate underweight girls, they like a little something to "hold on to" if you know what i mean!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Jeez!.!.!.!. U are 12!! Don't think about diet now!.!.!. You are saying ur not anorexic if this is true fine but you will be if you aren't now!.!.!. Child grow up there is nothing good in being skinny and underweight!. Eat normally, anything you like!. You are 12!. You are growing!. If you deprive your body of food you will damage it!. I am confused because you say you want more muscles on your legs but how will missing meals and dieting give you muscly legs when muscles need food to develop!? You are tall and active so really don't need to worry about missing meals!. You ask people not to be nasty to you because you know that you are being silly by missing meals and that it will not make you a successful athlete!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hunny, stop skipping meals!. Doing this will make your body go into starvation mode, meaning that it will HOLD ON TO FAT!. Anyway, you really really don't need to lose any weight AT ALL!. All you need to do is eat 5 fruit and veg a day - without this your hair will go dull, you'll get spots and you'll feel weak al the time!. Eat a healthy amount of carbs, e!.g a couple of sandwiches for lunch, and a good dinner!.
Exercise if you want, walking or jogging is good to keep healthy, but remember to replace the calories lost, or you'll look WAY too skinny!. Plus, you're only twelve, so the 'fat' on your legs will soon even out onto the rest of your body!. You haven't developed yet, just give yourself time and things will sort themselves out :)

your 12yrs old and 6 stone why would you want to lose weight!.!.!.!.!.your never get a date when your older if your a twig guys dont like twigs and there are lots of athletes that are 5'4 and are not 6 stone they have more fat and muscle on them to keep them strong enough to do all the extreme sport that they do you shouldnt be cutting out any meals at your age otherwise you will grow up to not be strong and healthy make sure you eat breakfast lunch and dinner and you will be fine im 20 yrs old i no what its like and when you reach my age you relise that eating healthy and regular exercise is way more important than being stick skinny!.!.!.!.goodluckWww@Answer-Health@Com

the athletes, i think you'll find have an incredibly high mass, due to the amoutn of muscle they have in their bodies!.

at 12, you will gain weight, however hard you try to lose weight as you are growing, and the amount of bone and muscle mass that your body grows will outdo whatever amount of weight you can lose!.

extreme dieting at this age is NOT reccomended, particuarly for girls as if you become anorexic or bulimic (like i was), you will have reduced fertility, or may not even have periods

which might sound good at first, but you will never be able to conceive children naturally!.

please, dont fall into the same trap that i fell into around your age!.
