Question: Bodybuilding Training question please help!. !?
is it possible to hurt your triceps when on bench press!. because after performing my first heavy set of 6-8 reps with 290 pounds!. I felt pain in my triceps and could go no more!. even extending and contracting my arms makes my triceps hurt more like pain then being sore!. please help what is wrong with me and what do you sugest to make it fell better!. I think you have torn your muscle, have you got a bump under the skin!? nasty and painful, put ice and heat on the tear simultaneously, this injury needs to repair on its own, with painkillers such as Ibuprofen, it will repair quite well as the muscles have a very good blood supply!.
If it is a ligament damage, htis will take weeks and maybe months of slow rehabilitation to get back to 'normal' you must not over stress the tissue in this healing phase!. Continual increased demand on the muscle will further the injury!.

Make sure that you are getting good protein and plenty of fruits an vegetables over the next month for the muscle to utilize in tissue repair!.
