Is taking 1000mg of Vitamin C daily still healthy?!

Question: Is taking 1000mg of Vitamin C daily still healthy!?
We have a drink in our office pantry vending machine (free of charge) that gives a whopping 1000mg dosage of Vitamin C in just a half a cup of lemonade-tasting concoction!. (this is not a fake quack drink, it's a legal product in Japan)

Not sure what it's doing there together with the milk tea, espresso, jasmine tea, and onion soup, but I'm planning of drinking a cup of the Vitamin C beverage daily!. The weather's already getting chilly and my room mate caught a cold recently so I'm taking prevention up a notch!.

Is this healthy!? Or already overdose!? I've read that an average male needs only to intake 150+ mg of Vitamin C a day though!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh no, as long as you eat food too!.!.!.!. I mean, you can't just drink/ or take vitamins, and eat only junk food, and think you are being healthy!.!.!.!.IN fact, if you ever feel a cold coming on!.!.!. you take a 1000 mg of Vitamin C "Every Hour on the Hour" Until your body can't take it anymore, and you will know that when you finally get the 'runs' (diarrhea)!. Over night, and the next day too!.!.!.It 'kicks' those bad germs out of you fast! And the only side effect of doing that (talking about 24,000 mg in a whole day) is going to the bathroom, and out it all goes!.!.!.that is all that would happen, no harm done!. Now, Vitamin A, you never want to take 'too' much but they have upped that dosage too now!.!.!.Vitamin D!.!.!.again, careful with that one too,but the rest, are all pretty safe, even at a higher dosage (the B family) Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's way too much, although anything over about 500mg will be peed out!.

too much vitamin C can give you gastric problems, and mess up your intake of iron and copper!.

also, vitamin C is not as helpful as people once thought, in terms of maintaining your health and avoiding colds!. So there's little reason to be taking nearly that much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
