I had the same thing when I was in the Marines!. I hae weak joint in my legs to begin with and doing all that running did not help!. A few things I can tell you to do

1) is like the first person said get checked out for shin splints, they are NOT ALWAYS PAINFUL!.

2) at the gym talk to one of the people that work there, if it is a good gym they would want you to work out safely and would have information OR somebody to tell you what exercises to do to "strengthen" your leg muscles in a safe manner!.

Shin splints depending on the severity, can either hinder you from running (if it is severe enough) or not!. Professional runners and other athletes usually run trough the pain BUT they also know their limits!.

Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to your doctor to make sure they aren't shin splints!. You can also buy some better running shoes!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would get checked for shin splints anyway just to be sure!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hopefully you don't have some type of hairline fracture!. I sounds like it could be a muscle problem!. If you are exercising quite frequently, you could have a torn muscle or ligament!. Ligaments attach to bones, so if something is torn, it could cause this pain!. If it is really severe, you should see a doctor right away, especially if it causes you to have problems walking!. At least get an X-Ray and make sure it isn't something wrong with your bone!. An old friend of mine had something similar on her arm, but never took care of it!. One day she was at a pool and upon diving in and catching her arm on a raft, her arm just broke!. She had a huge calcification that wrapped around entire arm bone the size of a baseball!. Don't let these things go before it's too late!. X-Ray might be the best thing Www@Answer-Health@Com
