If you build muscle will you weigh more ?!

Question: If you build muscle will you weigh more !?
I weigh eight stones and am 5foot 1inch!. I lost 4stones some 35years ago and have worked really hard to keep the weight off, eating to live rather than living to eat!. However I have managed to get to the local pool for the early swim for the last 5 weeks and have gained 2lbs!. also think that my shoulders look broader and my thighs which were quite thin also look bigger!.My family always said I kept myself too thin and say I look better but I do not want to "grow" out of a size 8 in clothes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, you will weigh more if you build muscle(s)!.

Muscle weighs 3 times as much as fat!.!.!.but the nice thing about gaining muscle and losing fat is that muscle is dense and it takes up less space!.
So while you may seem or feel "bigger", you probably won't grow out of your size 8 clothes!. I've been consistenly losing weight (and gaining muscle at the same time) for a few months now!. My clothes literally hang off of me!. You should be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com

hell yeah

muscle weighs three time more than fat!. the scales will say your putting on weight but if you don't notice yourself looking fatter your fine!.

also swimming will broaden your shoulders and work you thys but i doubt your shoulders and thys would get noticibly bigger in 5 weeks!. you probable just heard thats what swimming does and your getting paranoid about it!.

hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Muscle weighs more than fat!. You are going to build a little muscle, and tone the muscle you already have as well as burning calories and fat while swimming!. Do not worry, this is only going to help your figure and keep you feeling and looking young!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Muscle weighs quite a bit more than fat!. Best thing to do is to measure your body each week to keep track of where you are losing and gaining and you'll be able to tell whether its fat or muscle by doing this as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah, muscles are much denser than fat, so don't look worried if you see a change in your weight, i measure my waist to see if i'm burning off the fatWww@Answer-Health@Com

Muscle weighs approximately 3 times as much as fat!.

Having more muscle uses more energy, even when resting than fat does!.

Go for it and good on you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
