No need to feel stupid, at least your trying to find out!.

While its true that fat is stored energy of sorts, it takes much longer to break down into energy than say sugars, and is not the bodies primary source of energy!. Its more of a reserve, and wont come into play unless you start burning through carbs first!.
Indulging in fatty foods, often doesnt give you the nutrients your body needs, in combination with the extra weight = non-energetic

Getting a consistent exercise plan and modifying your diet can do wonders for energy!. start small, swap soda for real juice; candy for fruit, and stay active, and youll soon find yourself with alot more energyWww@Answer-Health@Com

Fat doesn't directly give you energy!. It's there so that if you aren't able to get enough food or nutrients, your body has enough energy to run off of!. Otherwise, fat tends to be an inconvenience and will not make you feel energetic!. Actually, it may make you feel especially tired because it adds extra weight to your body that you have to carry around everywhere!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
