Diet and exercise?
i'm 17 (5'8 175lbs) and i'd like to loose 15lbs. I have heard of many diffrent diets and excersise plans but I don't want to start something for several weeks (months?) if it wont work or if i'll gain it right back. From your experiences what would work best?

The only way to lose weight and not gain it back is to make permanent changes to your behavior and lifestyle. If you exercise regularly, eat healthy, and drink plenty of water (all the while burning more calories than you consume), then you lose weight and keep it off. There's nothing to "start"- just make gradual changes to your routine and you'll lose weight. Eating less and exercising more really does work.
