Question: Do you count healthy extras as syns (slimming world)
Im new to slimming world and im confused over the following:
For the food diary you must state "Healthy Extras"!. For me this was a bowl of Kelloggs All Bran (42g) and semi-skimmed milk (250ml)!.
Now this is a healthy option( green day healthy option B) so do I count its syns when adding up my total syns that day!?
Via my calulations, this alone was 10 syns and the consultant advised me not to go over 10 syns hence i am slightly confused as it would mean i cannot have anymore healthy extras on such a day!.
Also, how many syns are in salt as I've searched and searched but I cannot find its syn value!.

First off, no syns in salt,pepper or any plain spices!.
(Easy on the salt for health reason though!.)
Your healthy extras are not syns!.You can have 1 or 2 a choice (Dairy) and 2 b choices each day!.
The idea of healthy extras is to make sure you get essentials like fibre and calcium!.However the foods that are healthy extras are not free on certain days so must be measured!.
You don't have to measure any free foods!.
Make sure you have your 2 b choices and you may as well have 2 a choices too!.
You probably just have to add healthy extras to the diary so your consultant can keep an eye on things!.
