Binging and Purging?!


Question: Binging and Purging!?
So I binge!.!. A LOT!. But I can NEVER make myself throw up!.!. I've tried pretty much everything!. like the whole toothbrush thing, I just have really good gag reflexes I think, and a strong stomach!. but I don't want to feel guilty about all the crap that I just ate!.!.!.so how do you do it!?!!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The way I'm reading your question is that you want help in stopping this, not wanting help in how to purge so I'm going to come up with something a bit extreme but it can work!.

Out you go, buy all your binge foods and a notebook and pen!. Do your eating thing then write down everything you ate and then write down *exactly* how you feel!. Do NOT purge or even attempt to!. Do you feel heavy, bloated, weighted down, miserable, are you angry at yourself, etc and write how long all those feelings lasted (one hour, one day - you get the idea), are your clothes tight and uncomfortable and so on!.

Next time you feel like binging, pull out the notebook, read what you ate and then read how it all made you feel and think long and hard about it!. Do you really, honestly want to feel that way all over again!?

This should help you realise that binging does not help make you feel better!. Once you have that under control, you can find things that *do* make you feel better - maybe joining a club or doing some sporting activity in your area!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Aaaah don't purge!! I started about two summers ago, because I was eating too much ice cream and felt crappy!. It started with making myself throw up once, then again, then again, and soon I was doing it almost everyday!.

Trust me, it's not worth it!. I used to binge just so that I could purge, and it got to the point where I'd be doing at school, in restaurants etc!. AND I wasn't even losing that much weight, so I practically went anorexic and threw up anything that I did end up eating!.

Please get help for your binge eating disorder, bulimia just complicates everything even more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hmm!.!.makes me think you have the signs of Anorexia Bulimia!. Binge and Purge cycle you know!. But I hope not!. Try to control yourself from binging so you need not worry about purging!. Purging can cause a lot of ill-effects such as Fluid and Electrolyte imbalances among which Hypokalemia is common and I'm sure you don't want this to lead to a serious medical problem so just focus on eating the right kinds of food and do exercises if you really want to cut down that unwanted pounds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should be happy for not throwing up! Honestly!. Please don't get upset but, you already seem to have an ed, why do you want to become bulimic as well!?
Don't do that to yourself, as time goes by you will be in the centre of a very awful eating disorder!. It carries heaps of problems that you may not be aware now!.

You asked a question about your looks (which can show a low self esteem), do you really believe in sacrificing your health and life to be "accepted"!?

Try to talk to your parents, go see a doctor!. Maybe there's a reason behind your binge eating!.

i made myself purge a few times before and it seemed that the more i do it the more "resistance" i become to it!. in the end after 2 weeks, i found that i could no longer make myself purge like what you are facing!. weird huh!? so i simply stopped binge eating and doin it!. you should stop too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Binging isn't good for you!. The stomach acid that comes out of your mouth when you vomit rots your teeth, gives you bad breath, ruins your esophagus, etc!. it wouldn't feel good to do it!. Just don't!. Lose weight the right way!. You won't regret it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
