Am I gaining fat in belly or is it just water retention?!


Question: Am I gaining fat in belly or is it just water retention!?
I am considered underweight (I am 5'7" and 111 lbs) and I have a very high metabolism and usually I have a tight, flat stomach but this past week I was drinking (I only had about 3 beers) and I got extremely bloated!. The next day, the bloating had gone away but ever since being bloated I've noticed that my belly is still sticking out (considerably for me) and is really soft and jiggles when I move but the rest of my body has stayed the same!. Please tell me this is just water retention and not sudden fat gain!. I think it may be PMS but please, someone, let me know what you think!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

3 beers ain't gonna make you gain enough noticeable fat!. You'd need to consume much more alcohol than this over an extended period of time in order to gain weight!.

What you're experiencing is bloating from drinking alcohol!. Beer is a carb!.!.!.contains yeast & gluten!. If you're gluten or yeast sensitive, you may be experiencing an additional longer term bloat on top of the alcohol bloat!. My advice would be to drink plenty of fluids to push the alcohol, yeast & gluten out of your system!. If you were PMS-ing when you drank the beer, your hormones react to alcohol & can make your PMS bloating/fluid retention worse!.!.!.as can caffeine, dairy products, citrus, etc!.!. If this is also the case, then still drink plenty of fluids!.!.!.and stay away from alcohol during your PMS phase!.

What you're experiencing is fairly normal & typical!. I wouldn't worry!. Just wait until your menstrual period has begun when your body will begin to feel more like its former self!.

However, at 111 lbs!. at 5'7", you are very underweight, even if your body type is sleight, i!.e!. you are thin boned so to speak!. Gaining a few pounds might be to your advantage when considering your overall health!. Being underweight is just as much a problem as being overweight!. You've been blessed with "thin" genes!. You'll never have to worry about being "fat"!.!.!.even if you gain up to 15 lbs!., which would then put you in the ballpark of the correct weight zone for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think most likely that it is just water retention, i have notice similar things with myself!. i am also 5' 7" and im only about 105lbs, i also have a very high metabolism!. I have noticed that a few days after drinking that i have a noticeable belly, but it always goes back to me having that flat stomach, i have also noticed that after eating alot that i and others can clearly see my stomach bulging, and it always lasts for a day or two, maybe even three, but it always goes back to being flat!. But my gf and i have noticed too that she gets a slightly bulging belly when she is PMSing!. so i think its safe to say that it just water retention, and in a few days youll be good as new!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i belive it was just the beer that made your belly like that remember yeast!.but also you are getting up in age and you are going to gain wieght !.and also you shouldnt worry but you could do a few sit ups you know just to get it back down just in case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

definitely water retention from the alcohol + PMS!.

You have to consume 3500calories that you don't burn off to gain 1lb - there's no way you got that from 3 beers!. Don't worry =) You'll be back to normal in a week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
