Can the treadmill make my butt flatter?!

Question: Can the treadmill make my butt flatter!?
Because if so that's not the look I'm going for! I work out on it 45 minutes a day at 12% incline and thought the incline might make it get bigger!. I do 150 squats a day too hoping that would also make it bigger but it's been over a month now I think it's just getting flat and gross like a piece of paper!.

So do you think it's my imagination the workout would do that to my butt!? I thought it'd give me a nice shape!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Butt muscles are used in walking and squatting, so your instincts are right!.

But yes, it is possible to lose muscle from too much exercise; that is, too frequent exercise!.

Daily aerobics, weight training, and calesthenics all can diminish muscle rather than grow it if your body doesn't have time to rebuild the muscle breakdown that exercise causes!.

This is because muscles grow during rest, healing and repair!.

Muscles do not grow during exercise!. (I know this can be shocking the first time you hear it!.)

My guess is you will gain more dimension by exercising hard only 3 or max 4 times a week, rather than daily!.

Also, for maximum effectiveness vary your exercise routines!. The body gets used to a single exercise routine over and over and it stops being as effective!.

Another group of exercises you might try, to add to your repertoire, are some squeeze-the-butt-cheeks ones!. Just make these up as you go along and squeeze hard!.

For instance, doing certain ballet moves, including walking on tiptoe while squeezing the butt cheeks together is a good developmental exercise!. Stuff like that!. "Dancing" like this for close to an hour at a time is ideal, but probably a goal to strive for!.

Stand sideways looking into a full length mirror and see how squeezing the glutes together shapes and lifts the butt!. Doing the squeezes long and hard enough a couple or few times a week really does help develop these muscles!.

But if you don't give your body time to heal between exercise sessions then your muscles WILL flatten; it is not your imagination!.

Last but not least, to grow firmly rounded muscles you need to eat healthfully and enough food to support your body building them!.

I think you will build your butt because your current exercise routine shows have the determination to put in the time and effort to do what it takes!.

Mostly you are doing too much!

Here's to that future, sassy rounded butt!

PS You even can squeeze the butt muscles as you are walking!. Don't squeeze hard, though, if you are in a resting phase!. Just squeeze enough to give each cheek that plumped up look as you walk along!. ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you don't have the muscle mass in that area to begin with, it's not going to get 'rounder' or bigger!. When I was working out hard, mine got higher but I've got 'junk in the trunk' to begin with!. The stairmaster is what built up the most for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Um most people want there butt smaller!.!.!. and yes it will make it smaller thats kind of means your healthy!? ok look the only way to make it bigger is not work out and eat junk food!.!.!.
hope that helps
