Its scary how little people on here know who are answering questions, this is based of fact and truth not oppinion, which is what it seems to be above!.

Yes there is a difference in walking a jogging 3 miles but which one you do depends on what you want to get out of it!.

When walking it should be more of a march, for fitness reasons!. The only way doing this will really effect your health is if what you are doing increases your BPM (Beats Per Minute)!. So if you intend to walk it you will need to keep a pace of about 3!.5 miles per hour, grab a pedomiter from ur local sports store, they're about a tenner!.

This will keep u reasonably fit, stengthen the heart and lung capasity!.

Jogging it on the other hand will send your body catabolic, which essentually means it will start to burn excess energy!. It will burn some body fat and some fat from your system!. When you eat, the carbs are broken down and turned to glucose and stored in the muscles, this will get used during jogging more so than walking, so when people say you'll burn what you've eaten that day, they're kind of right but have bno idea what they are actually talking about!. lol

Once these stores have gone, the body will start using ur body fat to replace these glucoses rather than have to work on ur digestive system to replenish it!.

So you chose which one you would like to do, but yes they will both keep you fit in slightly different ways!.

Sorry to ramble but think it is important to understand the reasons why to do something, rather than just be told what to do!. Good luck and keep it up!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Walking 3 miles a day will keep you fit, definitely!. Running 3 miles a day is more cardio, will show more definition but is also more impact on your joints and muscles!. Walking will keep you more slim and trim!. Running also burns more calories!. Hop on a treadmill and monitor your heart and calories one day with running and one day with walking!. You will see the difference!. I would start out with a slow walk move up to a fast pace walk and then jog the rest, remember to cool down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The one rule that i learned in the army (infantry combat soldier) is that when it gets so frustating running and you want to walk but you are worried you are going to screw yourself of fitness benefits, KEEP THIS IN MIND: For every mile you walk or run you are burning 100 calories!. If you run a mile in 5 minutes or walk it in 15 minutes you are still burning the same amount of calories everytime!. So don't ever get frustated, just keep on moving!. If you want to make your walk a bit more challenging, pick up a weighted vest at any sports store in the work out section!. try it on first and make sure you are comfortable with the weight!. Keep doing what you are doing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there is always power walking!. to get your fitness levels up try a random walk/run/jog all in one go!. like they have on the tread mills at a gym!. start by walking then power walking, then jogging into a run etcWww@Answer-Health@Com

i think jogging is just a faster way of getting the job done if you now what i mean!. walking is a great way of keeping fit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Running!. It challenges your muscles more and makes your heart rate higher whereby you burn more calories!. It is basically getting the same job done but much faster and more effectively!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

calories wise they're about equal, jogging burns a few more but not loads!.

fitness wise there's a world of difference and jogging will be far more beneficial to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
