If I just sit here in my chair, instead of going to sleep, will I burn more calories?

Does staying awake burn more calories than sleeping? Does the brain require more calories when I'm thinking as opposed to dreaming? How much more? Does this question even make sense?


Answers:

You burn a tiny bit more while sitting, but it is not enough to help you lose weight or anything. Actually, getting 8 hours of sleep helps to accelerate weight-loss.
