Females should never go below 1200 a day and that's only if you are not active!. If you are active you need at least 1500!.
And this is only if you are trying to lose weight!. You will need more calories to maintain!.
Example of 1200 Day:
Breakfast-Light Yogurt 100, Banana 105
Snack - Nutrigrain Bar 140
Lunch - Lean Cuisine 300, apple 85
Snack - 1 oz almonds 160
Dinner - boneless/skinless chicken breast 150, 1 cup salad mix 15, fat free ranch dressing 45
