I am thinking of going on a asian food diet?!

Question:

I am thinking of going on a asian food diet?

Mostly Chinese, Japanese and Korean food prepared at home with ingredients from my local Asian food mart. The reason I picked this is when I was living in Korea, almost everyone was thin due to the low meat, high veggie diet of the culture. Plus I like Asian food so I conclude it will be an easy diet to stick to. My question is since it is a diet based mostly on vegetables, is how can I incorporate protein and proper nutrition with little or no meat? My other question is what suggestions you have on how to save money while buying these foods and what items are healthy, yet can be stocked up and be kept the longest (has long shelf life?) Also, what are some good yet simple recipes to start off on for me to learn?

I am doing this to lose weight and was wondering while eating these foods, I can do so in the most healthy way possible.

Ok tofu and fish? Thanks any more details would be great. As for another question, I am thinking of working out later to gain muscle mass, so what foods in this category would be help in this department?

Answers:

I LOVE tofu. There are so many recipes that include it. And any recipe that you like that contains meat---you can substitute tofu and it will be awesome.
There is also seafood. And sushi and sashimi is very healthy. There are thousands of recipes online.
