Are pushups effective?!


Question: Are pushups effective!?
Hi I'm 13 and I have no access to weights/bowflexs and I was wondering how many are good for my age, and how effective they are!.

yes push ups are very effective!. The more that you are able to do the better!. You will see your pecs get bigger in no time!. Workouts such as push ups and pull ups and stuff without weights are best for your body since you are under 18!. Your body is still growing so you shouldn't be lifting weights till then!. Push ups are an excellent overall conditioning exercise that will build your upper body strength effectively without the risks associated with improper weight training!. I personally do 300 per day and I have for years!. Start slowly and practice doing the movements thoroughly (paying strict attention to form!.!.!.that means don't use momentum to complete the task; have a controlled ascent and descent at all times!. It's far easier to learn good training habits upfront than to unlearn bad ones!.) As to the number you need to perform!.!.!.go to failure, and let your body cue you in to your optimum training level!. Once you begin, you'll understand what I mean by this!. Generally 40 unassisted push ups are good!. They are effective to some degree, I recommend this:
push-ups 21 sit-ups 21
push-ups 18 sit-ups 18!.
Continue dropping but three's 21-18-15-12-9-6-3-1!.
As you get better add another set like 24-21-and so forth!.

yes if you do them correctly, my idea would be go to a cheap store and look for something called like the push up master!. they really help a lot with building up the upper body!. But make sure the maker is by a guy who won the world record for the most pushups!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You do three sets of reps at a time !. A rep is 10 !. You do this three times a day and over time you will see the change !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
