Question: Is it OK for your ribs to show a little!?
I am at a healthy weight, but I'm not satisfied because I feel like I have extra fat in a few places and my belly is not completely flat yet!. The thing is, my ribs are showing a little!.!.!.!.and I want to lose 15 or so more pounds!. Is it OK for ribs to show or is it a sign that I'm taking this a little too far!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's fine!. I'm in great shape and my ribs show a little!. As long as the skin doesn't start to look sunken in then you should be fine!.

It depends!.
- If your ribs show on your chest, above your breasts and below your collar bone, it's ok!. Just as long as you're a healthy weight!.
- If your ribs show on your sides when you inhale and "suck it in" it's ok!.
- If your entire ribs show when you are standing normally, then there's a problem!.

I'm 5'6" and got down to 113 lbs, and I got so much crap from people saying that I was "too skinny"!. And I couldn't even see my ribs (except for on my chest) unless I sucked in!. Now I'm 120 lbs and I can still see my chest ribs, and it's fine!. I'm a healthy weight now, and was actually a normal weight at 113 lbs too!.

Be smart, and if you have to ask the question if you're taking this too far, maybe you are!. Re analyze yourself again!. And don't listen to other people's opinions too much!. As I said I weigh 120 lb now, and I always have fat people telling me that I'm too skinny!.!.!.!.no, you're just too fat!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's completely normal for your ribs to show, and if you want to loose more fat just eat some healthy food or something maybe a diet if possible!. I wouldn't exercise if I were you because your ribs might stick out a bit more, but right now u sound good to me!

I think it is, I am not super skinny I am 135 at 5'7" and cant get rid of my poochy belly which I work out a lot by doing crunchies but my ribs have no fat on them and in my back you can see them too!. It is just the way your body it built!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's normal!. My ribs show a fair bit, I'm 5'4" and 117lbs but I still have a belly pooch :P It's the only place fat goes on me! It's just the way your body is!. Just don't restrict too much!. Exercise is fine as long as you keep up your nutritional needs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your ribs showing just depends on how you're built!.

For flattening your belly, you might try yoga or similar muscle-strengthening exercises!.!.!. you will end up more satisfied with your figure, vs!. just being "thinner"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
