I lost ten pounds so far in two weeks, and am continuing to lose weight by not eating sweets (if i get a sweets craving, i eat fruit or nonfat yogurt or sugar free jello), and not eating fried foods (look for baked snacks, or make your own) and occasionally doing some exercise on the stationary bike when i'm not feeling too lazy. that's it.
