I weigh 160lbs and want to gain weight. What workouts should I Do? What should I eat?

I am about 5' 10 and weigh 160lbs. I want to gain weight. I don't wan tto be super muscular, just a lil more solid. What workouts whould I do? What foods whould I eat? I just got a YMCA Membership so now I have access to all equipment.

It'll cost you about $20, but the book "Scrawny to Brawny" will lay out a clear and concise plan to help you reach your goals. Definitely buy that book as the dietary guidelines as they are laid out there are superb. But also check out info on www.t-nation.com. Search the archives for "The Truth About Bulking." Read that first, then start soaking up all the other great info on this site. Gorging yourself on food isn't quite the answer. I did that for awhile and gained weight fairly quickly, but a bunch was fat. Now I've slowed down my pace a bit so that I look good, but also can slowly put on more lean tissue. Good luck and don't be cheap. Cheap kept me under 145 lbs for too long. I'm currently 5'7" 160 lbs. I can bench about 235 lbs.
