I am trying to lose weight. My problem has always been not drinking water and n!

Question:

I am trying to lose weight. My problem has always been not drinking water and no excersise.?

I eat very healthy foods and very small proportions. I normally intake about 1500 calories per day. I weigh 215 lbs and am 5'5". I started drinking water today 80 ounces and worked out on a treadmill for 15 mins, elliptical for 5 minutes and walked 1.25 mile. I plan on keeping this up everyday because I need to lose alot of weight by August 21 5.5 weeks. Does anyone have an estimate on what amount of weight I should expect to lose in this timeframe?

Answers:

There are too many factors to give a number of how much weight you will lose. Just remember calories in, calories out. If you lower your calorie intake, and raise your calorie output, you should begin losing weight. But, to better answer your question:

1 lb of fat contains about 3500 cals.

Your daily calorie intake in the recent past has maintained your weight at 215 lbs, right? So, now you need to figure out how many calories you were consuming a day before you started your diet, lets say 2,500 per day. Basically, the 3500 calories have to come out of either exercise or your diet over time.

Its not that clean cut. Metabolism and genetics are huge factors.
