If I don't go to the gym today, will my diet be messed up?!


Question: I was sick all weekend and don't feel well now. I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week and am on weight watchers. If I don't go to the gym today, will that ruin everything ?

Absolutely not.

If you've not been well, your body will have used energy and fat stores to fight the sickness anyway. If you go to the gym you may relapse, putting you ou of gym action for another week.

Just add an extra 15 mins on to each workout for the next 3 sessions and you will be alright

Absolutely not. If you aren't feeling well it would be best to just rest and take it easy. As long as you don't get in the habit of not going to the gym you will be okay. If you are feeling up for it, go for a short walk today to get a small workout in, but don't stress over one day. It's best to try to rest and get better and not overwork yourself while you are sick.

No but i would watch what you eat on days you dont workout, moderate carb intake.

Most definatly not. You shouldn't push yourself too hard. If you're sick, then your body is hard at work healing itself, and you can't work yourself. It'll only make you sicker, and you dont' want that.
