Im also trying to slim down. This technique helped me lose around 10lbs in 12 weeks last summer so I intend to do that again.
Sparring on punchbag for 30 minutes 3 times a week.
Running for 30 minutes 1 time a week
Light Swimming 1 time a week
Moderate intensity walk for 30 minutes 2 times a week.
4 Sets of 10 crunches, 4 times a week.
Along with that I have cut down on the amount of food I eat. For breakfast I eat a bowl of all bran and an apple. Then for lunch I have something very light, such as some fruit. For dinner I usually have a moderate sized meal. Its important to have your dinner early, around 5pm is fine.
I find this program sustainable and easy to keep to. I am a 17 year old male.
Just eat sensibly, and burn more calories then how much u eat. this is easier than it sounds. when u are sitting down doing nothing, if u have alot of muscles, they will burn calories when u arent doing anything, so try and build some muscle by weight lifting. and tone up ur abs too. then try and do some cardio like about 15 minutes a day. then u can gradually increase it. if u feel sore at first, leave a day in between when u dont do any cardio. and make sure u stretch well after working out so u get rid of the hydrogen ions in ur muscles. this stops any pain.
anyone that wants to be in shape can do from 30-45 min of cardio a day! if you have never worked out you should start up slow like for 15 min n try to have a cooldown at the end! pilates is a good exercise you can day every other day like for ex: one day do cardio and ab work and the next do pilates and ab work. ab excerises a good as well make sure your in a comfortable place for your back so you wont mess anything up!!
Cross train twice a week, try and swim or bike if you can a couple of times, and if you're willing - even go out for a run now and again.
There's no set limit, but make sure you don't go all out in the first week, gradually work it up each week until you are at a steady, fairly hard working level.
Google pilates, but I don;t personally think it's great for weight loss of all things.. Ab exercises are good, but you need the cardio most to lose weight.
