Maintaining weight?!


Question: once i get to my goal weight and i continue to excerise as much as i used to while being on a diet, can i eat at night at like 8 pm? when i was on a diet i always ate at 5 and nothing after 6 but my mom keeps begging me to eat with her now. she gets home around 8

Go ahead and eat with your mom. Family dinners, family interactions, and quality time together is extremely important.

Take advantage of the time you have together while you can. Nothing can replace it.

The idea that you shouldn't eat past a certain hour is a little bit overplayed. In the end, the total amount of calories you eat during your day will largely account for your continued success.

In general, it's true that you should eat in function of your upcoming activities. Eat a little more before you plan to be most active. If you plan to be less active at night (which is the case for most of us), then you should eat a little less during that time.

But cutting out all calories past a certain hour is, in my humble opinion, not necessarily always the best option-- and certainly not at the expense of spending enriching time with your mom and family.
