\the golden rules
1. When You Are Hungry, Eat

2. Eat What You Want, Not What You Think You Should

3. Eat Consciously And Enjoy Every Mouthful

4. When You Think You Are Full, Stop Eating

DONT DIET when u come off the iet u gain more weight than u had before the iet cus u eat more and more. just some advice i saw on tv. anyways drink apple cider vinegar and it is very powerful in weight loss. here are links READ THOROUROLY (srry spelled it wrong)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.........
i dunno.................

what kinds of salads dressings do you use? If not fat free, the fat grams are outrageous. You probably shouldn't use any if you're trying to lose weight. What kind of exercise do you do? Are you getting your heart rate up. A lot of people claim to exercise but are not doing nearly enough or at enough intensity. If you run, I'm convinced there is no way to be overweight. Trying running/walking an hour a day 5 times a week. Build up to running the entire time. If you're not 120 after doing this for some length of time, then you need to see a doctor. A lot of times people just don't want to do this much exercise. It's tough but soooo worth it.

Hi!

As for diet: Drink lots of water. At least 6 glasses a day. This will help flush you out. You're eating 4 salads a day? Salads may be tempting, but they should NOT take up your entire diet. They are only empty nutrients and fat in the dressing. If you do eat salad, eat dark leafy greens with reduced fat/fat-free dressing. Try to cut back on the salad intake. Why? You're tricking your body into thinking that you're not going to give it any more nutrients. This causes it to STORE more fat and sugars. Also, salads have next to no calories. It's actually really unhealthy to eat only salads. You're slowing your metabolism down. It is SO important to make sure that you are getting a balance of nutrients per day. Eat protein (white meat, not red), fruits, veggies, and whole grains. Look at the labels on your food. The first ingredient on the list (for breads and pasta) should say whole grain (food companies try to trick people).
Visit: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/ to find your BMI, Base Calorie Needs, etc. With calorie needs: Go to the website and calculate your BMR- or the min. number of calories you need to intake just to survive. Then go on to Daily Calorie needs (there's a link). Find that number that you should be intaking. Now, to lose one pound, you must burn 3,500 calories. So, to lose 1 pound in a week, you must cut back 500 cal/day. This should be part excersise/part calorie cutback.
Please please please! Do NOT do diet PILLS. 90% of the time, they do nothing, and if they do, you will gain the weight back. I promise. (and you'll blow a lot of money)

For excersise: Yes, you need to do it to lose weight. For faster weight loss, do aerobic excersise such as running, anything rhythmic and challenging is good. To increase your metabolic rate, you should do strength training (lifting weights, push-ups, sit-ups, etc.) I don't know what your fitness level is, so I can't exactly tell you just how much you should do a week, but if you can get in just a mile a day running to start with, that'd be great. Throughout the day, do small things, like take the stairs instead of the elevator/escalator. Park farther away. Run/ walk/ ride a bike to your destination.

Remember: It's going to be a long process. A healthy weight loss rate is about 2-3 lbs/wk. Everyone is different. Many people will lose weight easily for a while, and then level off. There is a part of our brain that controls what is a healthy weight for you. There is nothing you can do about that. So if you level off, don't be discouraged or give up. Keep up with the active lifestyle. Everyone should do that.

PS: the answer from mohammad... it's not a good idea to starve yourself. that's anorexia... remember, everyone's different. some things may work for some people and not for others.

Well, I hope this was a helpful start! Good Luck!

By eating certain types of food alone, one cannot burn away calories.

Every type of food has its own calories.
Every vegetable has its own fats, carbohydrates and protien.
Its a balance b/n in put and output of energy that keeps us fit.

More input and less output of energy makes us fatter.
Less input and more ouput burns away the stored fat from the adipose tissue.
Its ultimately a healthy attitude to food and excercise.

It is the demotivation from eating, that shuts off the physiology of hunger.

We must remember that we can do without the many things we keep gorging ourselves on.
Just divert from the thought of food.

Engage in some active and serious work that does not allow you think of it.

A healthy person can live with one meal for one week , and just 2 meals for the whole life.
The rest is indulgence.
