How do anas deal with hunger pangs and not eating?!

Question: Have you ever fainted?

Answers: Have you ever fainted?

I assume by anas you mean those with Anorexia Nervosa.

After a while the stomach stops producing any acid. This stops the hunger pains.

People who don't eat, frequently faint and pass out.

Anorexia kills.

Recovering is more difficult than recovering from a drug addiction.

If you MUST lose weight, then eat less, but don't stop eating. Being healthy and an attractive weight should walk hand in hand.

My friend has a eating dissorder, we're currently in the process of alerting her family & teachers to the problem...she'll hate us for it, but in the big scheme of things, we're saving her life from a horrible, deadly disease.

her face has sunken in, and she constantly looks tired and weak from such dramatic and rapid weight loss...she admitted to not eating anything but a sip of tea and a few morsels within the span of a week. I don't know how she fends off hunger pains that come with literally starving yourself to death, but I think it has something to do with your stomach becoming so small, you can only handle little amounts of food, hence the hungerpains tend to diminish after the first few weeks of starvation...if you think you have a surfacing eating dissorder, PLEASE, get help, it's not worth killing yourself over, it's absolutely stupid and you'll regret it

I don't like to think that this is a "how to" for wannabes...so I am going to answer in the hope that this is just a general question and you are not asking for directions.
Anorexia is a control disease, and believe it or not, a lot of these young people have the strongest will power of any human. The pangs only last a day or two, after that it is more painful to eat than not.
My niece is anorexic, and we have seen her faint many times due to lack of everything her body needs.
Her teeth are also rotting, her breath stinks, and her hair is falling out. She hasn't had a period for more than a year, and has become a total recluse as she has no energy to "come out and play".
