Counterbalance high sodium/salt intake?!

Question: For some reason I like salt. (well to be fair I like all spices).

I have a high intake of sodium/salt because it seems like I add salt to almost everything i eat. I love salty foods.

Is there anything I can do to counterbalance the negative effects of salt? (besides the obvious, consuming less salt).

You like the salt so much because you are missing essential minerals in your diet. If you start getting all the minerals you need you'll desire less salt.

Use natural salt such as sea salt or Redmond salt, it also has the minerals. The natural salt will still taste good but is much better than the typical table salt. Start using more spices and different spices on your food rather than salt. It is also better to cook your own food and avoid the processed kind. We've changed so we almost never use salt, the natural spices take care of that salty need. Go natural and you won't want or need the salt as much.

Too much is BAD, too little is also bad. Go with all natural.

take in lots of water...no wait don't...you'll retain water...

take in minerals that are inverse to sodium...you know...those that would forcew sodium to get excreted...

Just drink when you are thirsty.
