Why are nuts so unhealthy?!
Question: They're one of the top 7 foods you should eat daily, yet they're loaded with fat. Makes me not want to go anywhere near them. So my question is what is so good about them and what do they do for you? I've heard walnuts are the healthiest, is that true?

I think they're loaded with the omega fats that do things like help your heart, rebuild muscle after exercising, and possibly even help brain function.
We need fat. This is the kind you should seek out.
Their very high in antioxidants, poly and mono fats which are healthy for you in proportion. They are also high in protein. About a handful a day will do you good!
Raw nuts are healthy for you, but if they are baked or fried, all the essential oils are destroyed. They are also a source of protein and fibre.
they r loaded with good fats though like monounsaturated and polyunsaturated so its good to eat them every so often...especially almonds and peanuts...
They ARE healthy. It's just natural fat. Though, natural fat can STILL get you fat...but um...it's complicated for me to explain! Just have no more than a fourth cup and you'll be fine.
everyone, can u plz take 2 minutes to answer my question. THANKS!: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
nuts are never good to be putting in ur mouth.
Nuts are high in minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc and although they have a high fat content it is all unsaturated fat. Saturated fat is the killer but unsaturated fat is OK. Probably the healthiest nuts are almonds followed by walnuts.
