Starting a diet 1st of april?!


Question: with the new month, i have decided i will start a diet and exercise plan to lose 10lbs.

what should i eat for
breakfast?
lunch?
dinner?
snacks?

how much exercise should i do a week? is walking enough? i would also like to know weather i could lose 10lbs in a month? how long do you think it would take?

okay for breakfast i suggest eating yogurt three times a week, toast two times a week and cereal/oat the other days . oat is really good for breakfast mash bananas in it and u will have a healthy breakfast which is important (: next, for lunch salad? but u cant eat tht everyday now right? maybe some meat or one of ur fav meals two times a week, for dinner keep it light with diff varities of fruits :) snacks? i suggest no snacks but if u really are hungry and need snacks keep it light. exercise? do walking three times per week keep it alternate make sure u dont do straight days u need to rest. then after one week of wlaking try to start jogging then running keep up the pace. Thats the basic of exercise u can get a trackmill so u can do it indoors but if u like the air outside then go out :) about losing 10lbs in a month it depends on how much effort u put in yer diet u must avoid snacks a lot and u cant force urself to lose weight tht fast. It takes time and patience and soon u will get yer results :) remember keep constant about ur excercise never miss one day!! try swimming and cycling they are good too and they tone ur legs too ;D good luck in yer diet , ~

You should eat a carbohydrate, a fruit and a vegetable in EVERY MEAL and a cup of milk Daily. The amount of carbohydrate could be as little as just 2 slices of wholemeal bread. You should eat 3 to 4 times Daily. Remember, Eat OFTEN but eat less. Don't Eat Once daily and stuff your face

This is so that your metabolism rate continues throughout the day. If you eat only once everyday, your body will think that there is a shortage of food and it will absorb and store as much as it can. Digested food, after being absorbed is stoored as fat!

honestly a "diet" in the original sense is a bad thing. as soon as you forbid certain foods from your diet that is when you crave them, and you are more apt to gain weight.
there are 3 things you need to do to loose those extra pounds:

1.eat what you want when you want.
yes eat what you want when you want!!! anything your heart desires is a go!

2. eat consciously.
when we eat we sit in front of the t.v. we over eat.
there was a study of peoples eating habits recently, and in the study the took 6 people and had them eat breakfast normally. no matter what the portion size people finished their meal. now the same 6 people were taken to the same restaurant a week later and told to wear a blind fold and eat alone, and there was food left on everyones plate. the reason is that when we don't have any distractions we can hear our bodies tell us were full better than if we are watching t.v. or scarfing down like were never going to eat again.

3. when your full stop eating.
i know it sounds like I'm making fun of people, but i am guilty of it too. you get a plate full of food and you want to finish it, but you don't have to.

--another helpful hint is to put your silverware down in between bites and count your chewing. you should be taking about 20-25 chewes per bite.

i can help you, did u know that - eating small amounts of foods more then 3 times a day could help you loose weight and exercise doesnt help u loose weight thats just a myth. The food you eat either makes u FAT or SKINNY! Did u know if u eat less doesnt help you loose weight.. WHY? well simply becuase you body ajusts to you eating that much a day so say you eat 1000 calories a bay you fat burning hormones ajust burning 1000 calories a day and if you eat 2000 calories a day, your fat hormones aims to burn 2000 calories per day.. And why start on the 1st of april, START NOW!! The sooner you start, the sooner you'll loose weight, good luck.

Hey Kristie to lose weight it is recommended you excercise for 30mins to an hour each day. Eat fresh veges cooked and raw in anyway except in oil and fat. Make sure you are eating meat as well, fish, chicken etc. Hope you are not vegetarian cos it is importantant to eat fish and chicken regualrly. Fruit is usually not recommended in the first two weeks of dieting cos of the sugar intake. museli and multi grain bread or wholemeal breads are good too. Snacks are the hardest to find cos everything has either carbs or sugar. Anyway good luck in accomplishing your goals..

30 minutes a day exercise is enough. When you loose weight do it gradually. When you want to loose weight, you will need to make changes, but what ever the changes, make sure they are not just temporary. I'm talking life time changes so don't go do drastic things. You'll end up putting on the weight again.

Starving yourself slows your metabolism, so that doesn't work.

Have your snacks, have smaller meals. Get s the metabolism going which is what you need to loose weight.

Make sure you finish dinner by 7pm, not good going to bed on full tummy. Not good at all.

I actually eat alot of rice dishes. I cook rice and add vegies and a meat in.

Losing just ten pounds might sound easy because is just 10lbs but if you are not very heavy those 10lbs are going to be hard. In the bright side, all it would take from you is a bit of work and discipline. First try to think of it not as a diet but as a life change. You don't want to do it just because you want to look good but because you want to be healthy. Start by taking vitamins, these are essential, they will provide you the energy you need plus nutrients you don't sometimes get. Drink water, lots of it, at least 8 glasses of it per day. If you are soda drinker, cut it off your diet, but not right away, just do it little by little, try drinking less and less every day. Never let yourself get hungry, that means eating breakfast, lunch and dinner plus snacks in between. It will be easier if you buy a book that gives you already made meals, you can always mix and match to foods you like. Snacks should be healthy, no cakes, no chips, just fruits, healthy cereal bars or snack bars. Yogurt is a great choice for snack too, it keeps you full longer. Lots of fiber will allow you not to get hungry so often as well. Finally to make this work you will need to exercise. Start by just walking and eventually move to jogging. Again to make things easier find yourself a good exercise video, one you feel comfortable with, try renting one at the library. If you don't like following videos, then follow this, work out for 6 consecutive days, do cardio Mon, Wed, and Fri, then do weights on Tue, Thur, and Sat. Give yourself Sunday to rest. Do about half an hour to start, if thats too much, try breaking it into two times a day, 15min in the morning and 15min in the evening. With time move up to doing 1 hour per day. Well hope you loose your 10 pounds, don't give up!!! Oh one more thing I should have mentioned in the beginning, go for a physical and talk to your doctor, she/he might be able to give you other tips as well. Finally if you find yourself a buddy to work out with that helps a lot.
