Drink a whole lotta water really and do wat the french do... Eat in really small portions so it fills u up more.

How's this:
Breakfast-Oatmeal with walnuts and raisons, yoghurt,piece of fruit
Snack-Carrot sticks with hummous
Lunch-Wholemeal pitta with lettuce, cheese, ham and tomatoes
Snack-Handfull of nuts and raisons
Dinner-Lean chicken or fish with lots of rice or potatoes and lots of vegetables.
Also drinking at least 8 glasses of water throughout the day.
hmm, okay, here goes:
breakfast: life cereal with skim milk, or egg whites with chopped vefetables
lunch: whole wheat bread with peanut butter or avocado. or salad-lettuce, croutons, corn, teaspoon olive oil, salt,pepper, garlic spice.
supper:fish with a sweet patato, or chicken with asparagus, or soup.
snacks: fruits, veggies, popcorn, sliced up sweet patatos roasted with olive oil, salt, pepper, and oregano, apple wiht peanut butter, low fat yogurt....
and of course, 8 cups water.

If you drink soda I would suggest that you begin by eliminating soda completely from your diet. Soda adds an average of 5-15 extra lbs even if it is diet, not to mention you will feel healthier giving it up. Next start walking and the easiest way to do this is to find a friend that you can make a "contract" of sorts with to promise to walk for 30 minutes 5 days a week if not more. Having a "buddy" to start a program keeps motivation high and walking is great for weight loss, muscle strength, and your mental health as well. A sensible diet, meaning everything in moderation will get you started without "shocking your system" with a drastic change that you won't likely stick with. Eating 4-5 small meals a can make all the difference and really help boost your metabolism.
The most important thing you can do is to say to yourself, out loud even, I can do this!
